What’s one piece of travel advice you always follow?
I took five trips to Europe because I was lucky enough to be a teacher who could travel with students, and I got to go free. Well, let me clarify that, I was in charge of all student needs. Let me list them: visas, passports, phone cards, luggage, and most importantly—where they were almost every moment of the day, including bed check.
However, I consider myself very happy to have been able to see Europe. We had to carry our own bags, so I learned after the first trip that dirty laundry takes up more room than clean clothes. Imagine me getting ready for my flight home sitting on my bag, trying not to crush my precious souvenirs, (some which were wrapped around dirty clothes 😳), and getting the zipper to close.
Pack fewer clothes. No one knows you, so who cares if you wear that shirt twice, make sure everything is comfortable, and take an extra bag just in case.
I loved Europe.
